Personal:

I was born in 1979 and grew up in Mona Utah. I have a beautiful wife (Allison) and a very cute three year old boy (Jaren). We live in American Fork and I am a Health, Science, and PE teacher at Oquirrh Hills Middle School in Riverton. I coach Track and Cross Country at Riverton High.  My running often takes a back seat to my coaching.

I think Sasha and hot pink shorts are the bomb!

Go pinky!!

I had a hard time talking myself into a run again today.  I got home from school and it was snowing pretty hard and laying down on the roads.  I bundled up and went out anyways.  I need to find a running goggle for days like today when the snow is stinging, and you can't see because of it.

I did a loop up into PG and and north over by Cedar Hills.  I came down by the Temple and ended up down by my house, then had to make my way back to Becki's house.  I felt kind of blah and so none of my miles were too fast.  I was glad to be done again.   1:01:33

James, got the running blues, hey, I think you miss those wild runs at Willard, 2 feet of snow, uphill both ways, mad dogs, crazy drivers. Just not enough excitement on the run.

Where are you guys living now?

From James on Jan 25, 2008 at 00:55:00

Jon- We will be in American Fork. Allison and Jaren are still in Willard and I had to work this week so I came down by myself.

Brent- Maybe you are right. Running in below zero weather is not really my idea of an adventure, it is more like misery.

James, your right about the race fees, both me and Sylvie. It is expensive. But, what better way to get a speed workout than in a race. I have had the same trouble as you, staying in shape during the winter. Hopefully, this race schedule will help. Good luck saturday and I hope you find some happy running routes.

When it snowing I wear a brimbed hat that helps keep the snow out of your eyes
