I warmed up for just under a mile with Tim before the race.  I saw Golden Harpe at the start and figured he would win it.  The other two guys that are ahead orf me in the series were there too.  My goal was to just get through the 10k without hurting my knee worse.  I figured if I could stay within 4 minutes of those two guys I should be able to make that up in a half.  Jenkins took off at the first and there were a few runners that went out with him, while Golden stayed just behind.  We started at the horse trail across from Butterfield and went up the new trail over the summit and down to the Reservoir, then turned around and went back up over and back to the start.  Tough course!  The climb was tough for me because of the knee and that is where the other 3 Golden, Jenkins, and Kidd) got the best of me.  I pushed a decent pace for the race regardless and finisjed 4th and not too far back.  I got a rock under my left heel in the last .5 miles and didn't want to stop to take it out, so I ended up with a nice blister on bottom.  48:20 was my time.  Cooled down for a mile after with Rory, who had come to watch and visit.

Now I just need to get this knee better.
