I went out early this morning and wanted to get a workout in.  My legs felt heavy and I was way tired.  I warmed up with 4.5 miles and headed over to the USU track to try and push myself through some 800s.  When I got to the track I noticed the they had gates up every 40 meters blocking the first 5 lanes.  When I went to move them I found that they were all locked into place.  I didn't want to do my 800s in the 6th lane so I left.  What a pain in the butt!  I was ticked off for a little while but I didn't really feel good enough to do a workout anyway.  I probably would have been disappointed with my efforts, so going on 4 more easy miles was likely the better decision.  1:04:01

I hate it when they do that. Sometimes they are up for the whole summer. I've heard the reason behind it is to "save" the inner lanes from wear.

Yeah, if the old people didn't walk around lane one of the track everyday, everything would be good. I guess I will have to start going to Logan or Sky View to do speed.
