I woke up super early and struggled through a run. I still don't feel very good and have a bit a cough now. My pace was slow, around 7:50 miles. I planned on working out with my kids after school but as the day went on I felt progressively worse. I ended up with a nasty headache, so I showed up gave them their workout and took off. I feel like a loser coach for doing that, but I just can't run tonight. I have to kick this thing soon, so I will be recovered for Del Sol, and can have a good experience down there.

Hey, got your message awhile ago but I was at work late. I'll call you tomorrow. Take care of yourself, I'm looking forward to seeing the Del Sol results. Remember the spaghetti dinner at the high school is kind of paltry, that's my only race advice.

Get yourself better so you can enjoy the Del Sol (plus we need you healthy!).

See you in a few days.

Hope you get to feeling better, and can have an enjoyable time with the Del Sol team. How is the new teaching assignment going?

From James on Thu, Feb 28, 2008 at 14:54:34

Dustin,

The assignment is great, but I am not immune to all of their germs yet, so I have been sick for the last week and a half. The kids I coach are a good group with some good potential.
